Haiti - U17 Football : Our Grenadiers victorious in the semifinals [3-1]

Friday at Ato Bolton Stadium, as part of the second round of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 in Panama our young Grenadiers (1st of the Group A) clashed in the semifinals, Curacao (2nd of the Group B). A victorious semifinal for our U-17 Grenadiers, who won [3-1].

In difficulty in the first period for the first time since the start of the tournament, our young Grenadiers were led to the score (0-1) in the 11th minute by Curacao. The equalization of Captain Steeve Selso Saint Duc in the 14th minute, on a penalty of Luchenthly Vrutaal restored balance [1-1]. Solid in defense, the young proected of James Morisset have unsuccessfully sought a second goal in the first period.

After the break our Grenadiers dominate, but they will have to wait a penalty of Mondestin Steeve to the 71st minute for a second goal to te advantage of Haiti [2-1].

Note that later the other semi-final saw the Cuban team (1st of the Group B) get rid of the Reggae Boys of Jamaica [1-0] (2nd of the Group A).

The descendants of Fidel Castro, who swept everything in their path in Group B, have sent a clear signal to the Haitian defense after 4 matches have conceded only one goal. This means that the final Haiti-Cuba Sunday 25 September at Ato Bolton Stadium (Panama), will be a match without thank you for the supremacy of the Caribbean region to 7:30 p.m. local (6:30 in Haiti).
